Metalic rattle/noise COOPER S

I hope this as not been covered before! my luck it will have!
I had a cooper s in today for a strange metalic sound comming from the right hand side of the car(drivers side...o/s)when you were labouring the engine..creeping away in trafic ect upto 5 mph..(you could also recreate this if you have youre handbrake on and foot brake on whilst letting the clutch out to take up the clutch freeplay)after much diagnosis i traced the rattle to the oil cooler outlet pipe knocking (as the engine moved on its mountings)against the power steering pipe..i had to loosen of the pipe clamps and bend/turn the pipe away from the other power steering pipe so as to give it some clearance.i hope i have added a pic which i thought you guys may be interested in..unless this post as been covered before and im going over old ground...sorry if i am..
cheers

Thanks,
These are the kind of finds that make me glad that I have access to MINI2. There is still a lot to learn about the MINI.

I agree completely. Nice one h2h and nice thread description, as it makes it a LOT easier finding threads later when an accurate and descriptive title is used.
