Reversing Light out Hi there, hope someone can help - I have searched the forums and can't find the answer to this question. My reverse light is out, I consulted the manual and it says its a simple pressure switch to remove the glass cover but I'm unable to remove it. Does anyone know (a) can I do this myself or is it back to the Stealers and (b) how the heck do I get that cover off? Thanks in advance for any help! |

| Its okay, a bit of persistence and I *almost* solved the problem. To change the reversing light bulb yourself, lie down with your head under the exhaust and stick a screwdriver either side of the exhaust to push the grey clips (you can see one at each side of the unit behind the bumper) and have someone else take the unit out (it slides out as a whole) when you've sufficently squished in the grey clips. Obviously the engine should be switched off and the brake on so you don't get squished by your car. Replace bulb, replace unit. Except that wasn't the problem was it, I changed the bulb and still no reversing light..... it turned out to be a stupid switch that needs replaced but at least I didnt have to take it to the garage for a stupid bulb... |
