power steering fluid - MINI Cooper Forum

I have just been informed by my mechanic that y power steering fluid is running low. He tried to get some at a local autopart store and they had no fluid.
I phoned the dealership in glasgow and was told to take the 100mile trip to see them to top it up

Is there anybody that could tell me a website that supplies the fluid ??

why not try your local halfords, or garage for brake fluid as this is the same stuff

My First Gen MINI One uses the CHF11S power steering oil as stated on the reservoir cap. I bought some from ebay but have also seen it in my local motor factors. Google "CHF11S" and you should be able to buy it online. I know that Comma manufacture it. It is used by other manufacturers eg Volvo, Saab, Audi and BMW in some of their cars.

Silverado is right the mini uses chf11s which is not the same as regular power steering fluid so dont mix them and is not the same as brake fluid.

I've managed to get a hold of some powersteering fluid. Dexron II.
Got it from a local garage! epic win!!
