Weird noise on startup, possibly related to chrono gauges?? - MINI2

I have a MCS with the chrono pack, recently on startup there seems to be a weird whirring noise coming from the chrono gauges in the centre of the dash when i fire the engine up, or at least i think that's where it's coming from!

Anyone had a similar problem and know how to fix it?

Sorry i can't help you but would like to know the answer.

I have a similar noise but I don't have the chrono pack. It only happens first startup in the day and somtimes not even then. I have found that if I turn the ignition on, wait a few seconds and then start the car it doesn't happen so often.

I don't think it is anything to worry about, at least I hope not anyway.

Yeah, i've noticed that if I wait a few seconds and then start the car it doesn't happen!

Still an irritating problem though!
