i have noticed recently that when my car is in the parked position, and the front lights on, if i turn my steering slightly, the front lights will go dim for a second. Even when i was driving on the motorway i noticed the front lights going dim when i swithed lanes.
Another possibility could be a poor contact on the lighting stalk on the steering column. If you move the steering wheel perhaps you affect an electrical contact in the stalk.
I would want to rule it out. Perhaps by moving the steering wheel and lighting stalk with lights on but not the power steering on.
to check, pull the power steering fuse/relay, start the car, turn on the lights and turn the wheel while watching for the lights to dim
