Electrical Problems.......Please Help!! Hi i own a R50 Cooper on a 52 plate and I've got a slight problem! Yesterday when i was driving along in the rain the ABS, Handbrake and Run Flat lights all flashed on for about 5 seconds with the Run Flat light staying on. The Temperature needle shot up again for 5 seconds and the Rev & Speedo Dial dropped to zero again for 5 seconds. This happenend about 10 times in a 3 mile journey! The car continued to run as normal. When i stopped and turned the ignition on and off all the warning lights went off. ![]() Any help/solution would be much appreciated. Thanks Tony |

| Have the battery/alternator output checked first, if it is the original battery it will be nearing the end of its life and they can cause random electrical faults on Mini's when they start to fail. Bad/corroded wiring earth points and moisture/water in any electronic modules like the BC1 (Body Control Module) can also cause problems if you do a search on here. ![]() BC1 Link: The BC1 (Body Control Unit) - Mini Torque |
