| Seat Belt Warning Light Stays On I have a 2002 mini cooper and seat belt warning light on the dash stays on when the seat belt being worn. I have read elsewhere that wiring under the seat could be to blame? The seat is moved back and forward quite a lot so was wondering if this could loosen a connection? Is this something I can fix?  Thanks  |

| I had a very similar problem on my 04 mcs. The seatbelt light would take about 5 seconds to go out after buckling up. My mechanic removed the seat and replaced the (or portion of the) latch mechanism. That fixed it. If I have this to do again I think I'd first try shooting some electronic cleaner in there and see if that fixes it. everything you know is wrong  gnorw si wonk uoy gnihtyreve |
