ABS Unit packed up - which one fits?

Hi,
09/2002 Mini Cooper 1.6.
I recently lost brakepressure in the whole system. First inspections showed that the RightRear brakes are not getting any fluid. The ABS light didnt go on eventhough its working.
Car doesnt want to connect to diagnostics computer at BMW workshop. Tried bleeding the system first per hand and then with a machine to no avail. The valve for the RR brake in the Abs modulator(? that aluminum part of the unit) seems to be shut though as I understand it should be open when not under power.

1. Can I use any ABS unit for modelyears 2002-06 on my car irrespective of S or Non-S?
2. Can i temporally bypass the abs system? By either connecting the RR circuit to the LR circuit or completely bypass it for all 4 wheels?

Any help is appreciated.
