| ONE D wont start - Cant hear fuel pump
Hi everyone,
Having a little problem with our 2003 Mini One D with 80k on the clock.
It conked out with my sister the other day as she was driving up a long street - there was only about 12 miles of fuel in tank. I immediately thought it'd be due to the gradient and lack of fuel. So I topped her up, and tried starting it for ages. Not a single sign of life or puff of smoke. We had the problem of it just cutting out a few years ago, and a new filter sorted that out - but even when it was doing this, it would start again no problem.
Today I am going to change the fuel filter, but Ive been listening closely and cant hear the fuel pump (from rear - the initial fuel pump in tank) that you always get when you turn the ignition on. Iv check obvious fueses.
Any suggestions before I give up and take it to the stealers? |
