| So i pulled my engine out a few days ago because my transmission had lost all its gear oil. Come to find out one of the alignment pins on the flywheel came out and shot through the bell housing. I had just put a stage 3 clutchmasters clutch in the car but now my flywheel was no good. So instead of paying close to 600 for a new flywheel I bought one of the Valeo Flywheel coversion kits to get rid of the dual mass setup. I had a guy weld up the hole in the transmission because no internal damage was done. So i get everything put back together lastnight and for piece of mind i just wanted to see if the car would start before i went to sleep. So with no coolant in the car i turned the key and it started right up after no longer then 15 seconds i turned it off and went to sleep. I got up this morning and filled the cooling system, got in the car to purge the rest of the air from the system and all the car would do is crank, no start. One of my good friends is a mechanic, I got him to come over with his Snap-on scan tool to see if the car was throwing any codes. It is throwing P2300and p2303 this would indicate Ignition Coil 'A' Primary Control Circuit Low and Ignition Coil 'B' Primary Control Circuit Low. So i guess the question is did my coil crap out overnight or is it not getting the correct signal from somwhere. Just to throw in another dimension my friend happen to have a coil out of a neon that he put a engine in. He said he thought it was a good coil but when we hooked it up still had no spark. Not rulling out the fact that it could of been a dud as well. Anyone have any thoughts? |

| Beken- I appreciate ur post and i believe it is very relevant. The car actually did have a coolant sensor code like you said probably from starting it without coolant. This was cleared when the scan tool was hooked up to the car. Im 100% positive the car is getting fuel the pump primes everytime the key is turned on and I've even unplugged the fuel line from the rail and turned the key on just to make sure. Also when i pulled the plugs they were saturated with fuel. The only other thing is when the car is cranking I get a pop out of the exhaust occasionaly like it is trying to ignite the fuel its just not consistent or strong enough to make the car run almost sounds like a car with the timing out. |
