Tachometer Stuck at 6,000 rpm, Can I fix this?? pleaseee help !!!

I shift a gear wrong. I was in 2nd gear and when I was going change to third shift, I put 1st gear and my rpm when up to 6000 rpm and got stuck, Can I fix this myself? Please help!!! My odometer is working, and everything, is just that got stuck ..!
