Grinding Noise from Drivers Wheel

I own a mini one 1.6 2003 Automatic DSG. When I accelerate there is no problem, but when i let go of the accelerator i hear this winding/grinding sound from my drivers wheel. When i brake the sound stops
I have suspicions it is the bearings in the wheel but im not to sure why its only when im coasting.

Also i changed the wheels on my car to 17inch Momo Low Profiles

Help Please,
Thanks

Well thanks for the help, i posted another thread and got no reply
but i spoke to my friend who is studying mechanics and he hinted it could be the brake pads not secured properly, as the sound is not constant.
If it is the bearings and your car is fixed, let me know and i will have to book my car in too
Thanks

Talk about resurrecting this thread from the depths of time...!! Anyway, here's what happened to me - I was getting a weird grinding noise (also was more noticeable at low speeds and corners - like in car parks), Mini told us it was the gearbox. My dad didn't believe them and so we asked our neighbour who runs his own garage. He had a look at it, and it turned out the hub was full of brake dust, clogging everything up and making (I think, if I remember right) the pad not completely come off the disc. He just cleaned it up a bit and that sorted it out!
Worth having a look I guess?
