Driver's door doesn't close properly

I've had a few problems with this over the past year or so.

I've noticed that when I go to close the driver's door that the window doesn't go down by 5mm and the top of the glass 'clunks' with the roof gutter.

It happens quite often and it's getting worrying because one day I'll go to close the door and smash the glass.

So much so that once the window wouldn't go down when I flicked the electric window switch. It seemed like the whole door electrics are going a bit haywire.

Has anybody experienced this or is it an uncommon thing.

I had this. They replaced the window motor and all was fine

mate theres a fix on here somewhere which is about hitting the door card in a certain place works a treat and all is fine after its called "re-indexing the window". Its a common thing mine did it and its all working fine now, its to do with people shutting ur door by the glass which isnt as supported as it looks and it upsets the motor so make sure people slways use the handles !!!!!
