help me and my mini! headlights not working

hi there everyone! this is my first post so if i do it wrong please bear with me!
driving home today had no headlights, have side lights but no head lights so called my dad to get me some new bulbs fitted them but still no head lights! i have flash and side lights but need to try and fix this asap! thanks. Amy x

Thanks...do u know which fuse it would be?cos the one we thought it was isn't the right one! :0(thebook isn't too helpful...

Well I've never had to replace it so not sure, but from the attached list, it looks like either one of these in the engine compartment fuse box:

FL8 50A BC1 (X332 20) Headlight
or
FL12 50A BC1 (X332 17) Headlight

You could also try this from the passenger compartment fuse box:
F8 5A Turn indicator/low beam switch

I'm only guessing it's a fuse as both lights went at the same time and nothing else is broken.

hi did you fix your light because i have the same problem no headlights when i switch them on my dash lights go out

Of course it could be a problem with the switch on the stalk?

My husband will try to change the stork tomrw we havent checked thew fuses under the bonnet i was told they have to be done by mini only?
