Exhaust Body Mounted Threads Snapped

Hoping someone can help -

I have a mini cooper today i set about replacing the Backbox Mounting Kit at the existing one had snapped in two places.

I removed the old one and managed to undo the two nuts at the front of each rubber mount with no problem... The back two both snapped with the thread.

There is no way enough thread to wind a new nut onto each one but has anyone attempted drilling these out and fixing these or how did you go about fixing them

Just a thought,

Have you tried accessing the nuts on the floorpan inside the boot area ?

Had exactly the same thing happen to me but only on one side, now because of this my exhaust is tapping the bumper. Anyone know of a fix?
