2005 Mini Convertible Won't Open

hey - first post.

My 2005 Mini Convertible top is closed shut. I closed the top the other day and now, it won't open.



Any ideas on how much it will cost to fix the top's motor or whatever the source of the problem may be?

pretty sure it "senses" alot of things as it works, have you checked all the fuses ? as it could be a simple fix.

Also it could be a sensor or something other than the actual motor, the first part of opening is more like a sunroof from what I have seen? and then the actual motor to lower the roof ?

perhaps its worth checking all other electronics to make sure there isnt something more general up.
