Mini Cooper Airbag Light

Hi, I bought a wrecked 2005 mini cooper that was hit on the left side and blew the right side curtain airbag. I replaced the Airbag but the airbag light remains on.

Do you only need to reset the sensor? or do you need to replace the sensor?

Needs to be read correctly on a diagnostic scanner or similar.

Firstly the light wont extinguish just simply by replacing the deployed part of the SRS system. It needs to be re-set with appropriate equipment.

Really needs scanning for further faults before going ahead with a re-set as you could have a deployed seat belt tensioner for example that you might not know about.

You normally change the airbag ecu aswell after it has activated a device, this may then need to be configured to suit your car.
