Unhappy just pulled into dealer & woosh big cloud of steam

Decided to call over to my dealer today to ask about a part,
parked right outside the big glass doors and walked in.
Whilst waiting for a salesman to finish with customer. A guy looking into buying an S pointed at mine. There was steam pouring out of the edges of the bonnet & the scoop!
I ran out, opened the bonnet and steam was coming from the engine - it was covered in antifreeze
NO ONE FROM THE MINI OR BMW SHOWROOM GOT OFF THERE ARSE'S, just another customer. The cause - the expansion tank top had been put on just half a turn - crossthreaded. (Factory or dealer???)
Having put it right I went back in and asked for my salesman - he wasn't in, told the other salesman what had just happened - he just shrugged his shoulders.
Will wait till my salesman is back in before mentioning the new seat required.
Mike

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, sounds like it wasn't a crippling incident. However, if there is a mess in the engine housing I would hope your dealer would take responsibility in cleaning it for you. I hope that your salesman gives you more attention than the lazy and apathetic bumbs on duty that day.

By the way, what is wrong with your seat?

I would have ...

Pointed to the car, point to them, and point to the cutomer saying "you do realize you have a potential cutomer watching this don't you?"

gjenkins -

I looked at your gallery, very nice car. I noticed you have Goodyear Eagles on your auto, did you order run flats and are they performance or all-season?

Thanks Big!

My car was pre-spec'd by the dealership with all three packages (Sport, Cold Weather, and Deluxe) and the Black leather interior.

I probably would't have spec'd it so rich, but I was a bit irrational at the time and was able to order and get the car inside of 3 weeks. In retrospect I like all of the features. We will see about the runflats when something goes wrong with one of them. They are all-season.
