My hatch won't stay latched...?

Hey, I have an '03 and my hatch keeps popping. The hatch actually fell off not that long ago due to a rusted out hinge (weird, I know) and I had my mechanic fix it, but now the hatch keeps popping. we've adjusted the latch, but have determined it's the electrical or mechanical part, I guess...?

Anyone else with this problem or advice?
