| MCS Xenon Fault My car failed it's MOT last month due to the Xenon build flashing on the drivers side. BMW advised me that they would swap the bulb over to make sure it wasn't the starter/ballast. They rang me to inform me it was the bulb. After attempting to drive home today I noticed that the passenger side wasn't working. Not wanting to get a ticket I left the car at work. I've telephoned BMW to report the fault but the invoice states that it was the drivers side and now it's the passenger side. I explained that they swapped them over to check them but I didn't get anywhere. They said that they would have swapped them back which I though was odd. Anyway. I'm now thinking that it is the starter/ballast because it flashes when initially turned on. Would it flash when turned on if the bulb was blown? What would the easiest thing to swap over to check. The bulb or the ballast?  |
