| Noise in cabin - driverside Sorry to make my first post a request for help but any hints or tips will be very much appreciated.
I've got an '04' Mini Cooper (as well as a BMW 318TI), in the main its been a good little car which we purchased from Mini Sooper in Lincoln as part of their "cherished pre-owned scheme" about 3 years ago.
Recently (Friday) it just past its latest MOT but it needed new wishbone bushes other than that its fine. I drove it in to the garage in the morning and all was well, typical mini there not the quietest cabin cars but nokay. Collecting it and driving back I now have more noise in the cabin, especially the driverside.
I can only describe it as like someone has opened a flap between the engine bay and the cabin so you can hear more of what's going on in there (wind/engine noise). Driving me and my wife mad!
I'm back off to the garage tomorrow but wondered if there was anything obvious I could check.
Can has has replacement windscreen but over a year ago. Enhance noise level even when still so not related only to wind driving into the car.
So far I've listed the following to check;
- Black 'A' pillar covers, check cliped on and foam behind in place
- Check lower chrome strips fitting around windscreen (though I thought these are cosmetic only)
- Check steering column gaiter on floor/driverside pedals
Any others?
