| automatic gearbox help anyone hi ive just bought my 2001 mini 1 automatic. but it has just started to engage drive harshley and when im at the traffic lights with my foot on the brake it wants to jump forward and sometimes stalls the engine. can anyone help as i aint got much money after buying the car any info would be appreciated.   |

| You have a CVT transmission not an actual automatic. They can be quite "jerky" at low speeds and it sounds like you have a severe case of that problem. It's usually just a software reprogramming fix and shouldn't cost much.  |
