Strange noise, suspension?

Hello everyone, My 2003 Minione occasionally makes a weird noise. It doesn't happen on every trip but sometimes it does it a few times. It seems to happen after I drive over speed ramps, cattle grids or the level crossing, but not always. The noise seems to come from the front passenger side under the engine, my son described it as a metallic groan, it's not particularly loud, you can't hear it if the radio is on loud and it only lasts a couple of seconds. Any ideas anyone? Thanks for any help and advice you can give.

Could be the heatshield rubbing on the exhaust or body.

Thanks for you reply. The car's going in tomorrow to be looked at. Is that quite a simple( ie.cheap) repair if that's whats wrong. Thanks.
