fault code error readers and airbag lights

hi, i have a 2002 cooper s airbag light is on always,,will thes code readers i see on ebay extinguish the light or just give me the code?..i fiddled with the connectors and wires under the pass seat to see if it would go out but no joy,just wanted to ask if these readers will knock the light off ,steve.

you'll need one that can read airbag codes & able to reset it..

airbag light on is now an mot failure.
