Squeek noise on start up

Hi There

I am the proud owner of a 2006 Mini One D 1.4 and need some help please

I have had the car just over a week now and have a noise when I have started up from cold.

Its a squeek, I can only describe it as if the belt is slipping noise, my hubby says they dont have belts now so I am stumped.
Once the car is warmed up the noise goes. I have noticed that if I rev the engine the squeek noise stops but as soon as im ticking over its back!
I'd just like an idea what this is and am I ok to keep using the car till I service it end of March.

Hi,

I am no expert but i had this on my mini one a few days ago and it was the alternator belt that needed replaced, squeek all gone now! oh and not an expensive repair!
