DIY Mini Cooper 1.6 wont start, help!

Hi guys, wondering if any of you have any advise on how to get my 2002 Mini started!?

It is cranking, but there is no fuel and no spark.

Tried the crank sensor, coil pack etc pretty much everything I can think of but still no joy. Any ideas?

I first thought that, however the fuel pump primes with the first click of the key in the ignition, didn't think it should do that if it was an immobiliser fault?

The latest MINI the fuel pump primes as soon as you open a door before the key is even put in, not sure about the early versions though.
No fuel no spark does sound like engine immobiliser operating though.
Is the battery in the key ok?
Have you tried using your spare key?
Just a thought.

yeah I am using the spare key actually, basically I ended up in a ditch in my own Mini around a month ago completely ruining the car however all the mechanical parts work perfect... found another one for sale the other week which I was told needed a new engine, obviously I have a wrecked Mini with a great engine so thought I could swap the engine over! Even if it didn't end up being the engine I have all the parts available to fix it with so didn't think I would have any problems.

The guy I bought the car off said that his wife had just filled the car up at a petrol station and then it refused to start again (it has the right petrol in it, not diesel or anything) Green Flag came to them and said the engine was seized or it needed a new starter motor... it doesn't basically! And the engine isn't seized. Had the car recovered and when it was delivered the only key that came with it was a standard, non remote key.

Tried literally everything I can think of, been looking on internet sites for days!
