Valve train noise

I have a light valve lifter tapping or clicking only audible from in front of the car or with the bonnet open. Can't hear it when in the car. I'm thinking its normal. Anyone else have any valve noise? Just took delivery last Wednesday. thanks.

Do you have any valve noise at all?

Thanks for your reply.

I will check mine more carefully, but, injectors also make a similar noise in operation. Tough to tell the difference sometime.

Right, the ticking is more like injector sound

That's where I'm leaning. I'll mention it to the dealer anyway.

Dealer said was normal

I'm convinced it is just injector noise. I now have 2800 miles and car has been great.
