Gear box and clutch issue

Hi Guys... noobie here bought a 2nd hand mini cooper 2002, ive had it for 4 months and the gearbox has bailed on me has only done 79,000 kms. I bought new parts to fix the problem from the UK and now currently refitting it. Looking at the clutch thats seems to have shot too soooo... could anybody please help me out and let me know where I can get a clutch from New Zealand without getting ripped off.. any advice would be greatly appreciated, before I start tearing my hair out

Are there no MINI Dealers in NZ?

As you may know gearbox problems on early MINI's are quite common,

Firstly thanks for your reply I know I should have done my homework a bit better grrrr!!!

So fitted recon gearbox and replaced the clutch now I cant select 1st or 2nd gear any ideas

Check the gear lever selector cables are ok, hopefully that wasnt the problem in the first place and you didnt really need a new clutch and gearbox?

Hi Nun thanks for your reply I defo needed a gearbox and clutch it was very messy ... all fitted back but as I said cant get 1st or 2nd sooo frustrating.
Just need to try and find out how to align the selector

I know you should leave to the experts but so expensive so trying to keep costs down DIY.....not doing to well though
