 04 Mini Cooper failed MOT on Emissions. Lambda???
Hi there, My wife's Mini Cooper (04 reg, 50k) has just failed it's MOT this afternoon on it's emissions. The garage (Evans Halshaw Peugeot) says it is "Probably" the Lambda Sensor. When I questioned them about it they hadn't run a fault check and I think they are speculating. (No EML coming on) She doesn't want to pay the £180 for them to fit one and for it still to fail the MOT.
I think it could do with some Cataclean running through it and a good thrash!! I also think the rear silencer has a hole in it as when I put my hand over the tail pipe it didn't hold pressure.......
Any one have any ideas please????
