Internal lighting failure

Ongoing from my previous thread, I have noticed a failure in internal lighting.

The interior light does not come on, although the map reading lights will. The under door lighting on both sides do not come on either.

I have replaced the fuse, thinking it was that...no difference. Again, any help would be good.

check the bulbs. unlikely to all go at once though.

Does the interior lights come on with a press of the button? opening the door? or neither?

It could be the drivers door switch, however there are no warning lights for this. When you open the drivers door, does the window drop a little (and rise again when you close it)?
