Windscreen blowers

Can anyone help. No matter what I do I cannot get air to blow out of the holes that run along the windscreen.

I'm guessing maybe the pipes split somewhere. Wondering if anyone's had the same problem.

My a/c isn't blowing cold either, not sure if that's linked at all.

The mechanism that works the direction flaps has probably stuck/packed up.

If you have manual heater/air con check the bowden cables are correctly attached behind the heater panel rotary control knobs, as the flaps won't open and shut if this happens.

If you have Automatic climate control then it could be a servo motor which operates the flaps has stopped working.

Thanks for your reply.

I have the automatic climate control, took it to Mini as I needed something else looking at too, they diagnosed it as a faulty control heater panel so needs that replacing, £550 fitted which prompted me to laugh at him at that price.

Found a couple of second hand ones at around £50, before I go out to by one has anyone had the same problem with the controls themselves? They all look like there working I.e lights come on and no obvious faults but air doesn't mix properly?

Thanks

Before you buy a secondhand climate control panel check what type you have fitted as there are at least 2 different types, one made by Valeo and the other by Behr, which are not interchangeable. The name and part number are on the back of the panel and the wiring connector/sensor and layout of switches is very slightly different on each make.
