Coolant leak advice

Evening all,

Have had a 2002 Mini Cooper for over 4 years now, it's been a great car, but sadly the misses has decided she wants a change and has bought a new car.

Have got a garage coming to swap the car at the weekend and they will be driving the car some distance back to the dealers.

its had a coolant leak for the last few weeks, from the radiator and from a leaky top hose clip. Have changed the top hose clip, but the radiator has a leak in it.

I am wondering wether to add a bit of radweld in order to attempt a temp fix, or to just leave it??

Thoughts?. Advice?

Personally I would leave it, I have found that products like that don't work anyway.

Tell the garage taking the car back to keep an eye on the level and carry some spare water/coolant for any top ups required on route. Rad weld products, etc are a temporary fix for minor leaks but can cause other circulation problems on modern engines with more narrow water ways.
