Question one of my xenons points down?

So been reading up on many forums about the xenon up/down tilt problem but have yet to find a person with my problem, maybe i havent looked hard enough. my car is an 05 mini cooper btw. R50 model

the left side xenon and daytime driving light stay down. I start the car and the passenger side go down then up and then auto level, while the driver side stays down the whole time? anyone help please!

just a few days ago my mechanic had the car apart putting a new manual transmission in it, dont know if something may have be plugged in wrong? help!?

If it was all working before they did the work on it they its more likely they have forgotten to connect it all up again, checking for a loose wire/plug at the rear of the headlight would be the first thing. You could compare the working light wiring to the not working one too.
Assume you have at least attempted to look already?
If you cant see whats wrong take it back to the mechanic and tell him/her its not worked since they put it back together?

well the driving lights run and the xenons turn on but do not do the initial up and down (atleast the left one does not) so unless the there is a seperate plug to power the headlights as to run the up and down i would guess the sensor went. But would that not mean both lights would point down?

Each light unit would have its own levelling device I would imagine, and thats failed on your left one, I think I would remove the headlight unit completely and give it the once over see if you can see any corrosion on the connections, if it looks ok then its the levelling device that side at fault.??
