Ticking noise on Cooper S

Hi all New here so please advise if posted in wrong section etc.
I have a 2002 Mini Cooper S 57000mls. I have a loud ticking/tappety type noise that is there all the time from idle or at speed. It sounds like its coming from the chain area of the engine bay. You can only really hear it from inside the car with the window open.Slowly seems to be getting louder. I have been told all sorts and had figures that are ridiculous to fix it, i have taken a vid of the noise and posted it on Youtube, advise if i can attatch a link to it.

I no it's a silly question and am sorry if it but you have checked your oil level is correct.
I could be timing chain or may be a few other things
The timing chain tensioners do fail and are prity cheap easy fix it is a known problem.

There are a few good mini tuners dotted around the country depending on where you are. You would be better off talking to them people like 1320 mini have a very good reputation.
