Buzzing!

Any advice appreciated. Just recently in the morning or when the car hasn't been driven for a while I am getting what can only be described as a buzzing noise at certain revs in each gear.

Sounds like it is coming from directly behind the head unit/speedo area in the centre and disappears after a couple of minutes or goes really faint.

Cheers

My tach buzzes periodically. When the buzz starts, grab the tack and see if it stops. I know you said behind the head unit but you know how sound can travel. It drives me crazy. My sun roof will buzz sometimes when open as well.

have a look in the engine bay behind where the speedo is located and you will see the brake fluid tank. On my car, I can see that although it is secured, the mount does move a little bit and at certain resonances, I think this is the cause of my engine buzz.

Wedge a folded cloth between the mount and the sound proofing and go for a drive and see if that makes any difference (but don't leave it there.... shouldn't have bits of cloth left in your engine bay as it could get hot).
