United-Kingdom Possible clutch problem?

I've had my 51 plate Cooper for a good 7/8 months.

It's my first car and i haven't driven it too much since i've owned it.

But over the past 2 months, usually after the car has been driven for about 20 minutes/ half an hour (when the engine has warmed up, the gears seem to go stiff and wont change.

If i even manage to get it into gear - i seem to struggle to get it out of the gear to change.

This is only a problem with the first and second gears and not so much with the third and fourth gears.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
