Replacement remote key

Could anyone confirm that if I need a replacement remote that I have to order the key from a main BMW dealer (approx £120) and then the same dealer has to commission the key to your vehicle (another £150) ????? Surely they have to be joking? 02 registered Mini Cooper......

Yes the remote keys are around £120 (as for most cars these days) but the coding required to earlier Mini's should only be for half an hours standard labour charge at a good MINI Dealer.......so £150 labour is a bit excessive!
