Crankshaft Oil Seal.

Hi Guys,
I've got a 2004 Cooper which has only done 50,000 miles
and had a Mobil 1 Oil change every 12 months/6000 miles.
I've got a small Oil leak, the garage checked the leak and
the mechanic say's he thinks it's the Crankshaft oil seal.
I'm rather annoyed with that, as I really look after my car
and change the oil regularly.
Anyway, is the crankshaft oil seal a big/expensive job??
What does it involve?
Cheers for any advice you can offer.

Unfortunatley it is, as you have to remove the gearbox, clutch & flywheel.

If the oil seal is leaking, it will eventually, if it hasn't already, contanimate your clutch which will result in your clutch slipping at some point in the future.
