England Weird flapping noise - R50

Hello everyone

This is pretty vague, but I have this strange noise coming from around the drivers side wheel (uk so on the right). All I can say is that it sounds a bit like mud being flicked off the wheel onto the plastic splash guard. It happens when cold and not so much when warm and is worse going round a LH bend - especially if shallow.

I'm thinking something suspension related, but can't see anything wrong. Thoughts greatly appreciated.

Boleigh.

Can't help you, but my 2002 (Aug 2003 build) build displays similar behavior, mostly when cold, seemingly from the back of the engine compartment in front of the steering wheel (U.S. so left side). It is more noticeable on acceleration, but the sound is arrhythmic rather than synced with RPMs. Sounds to me like something coming into contact with a plastic housing?
