newbie needs help pleasep1242

hi guys
new too forum really need some help keep getting p1242 code on my obd reader put it in google come up with
P1242- Secondary upstream manifold air pressure too high in deceleration

which is great but i don't have a great knowledge of cars and wonderd if anyone could tell me if its an easy repair like a sensor or something also are they any free online workshop manuals
the car is a cooper s 55 plate 2005

Hi ya

Sounds like you TMAP sensor is playing up, I would pull the pug off and give it a clean out with wd40 or similar make shore it's not wet with all the rain we have had recently
If your not shore where your TMAP sensor is open the bonnet look at your intercooler cover you will see it at 6 oclock position ish there are two connectors there the one going left to right is your knock sensor connector the other is your TMAP sensor.
If the plug is ok you may have to remove the sensor only two bolts and clean it carefully. If not you may have to replace it.
I would try to borrow one before splashing out on one just Incase the problem is somewhere else

thanks for replaying

i live in croydon area
will try the above today or tomorrow weather depending
it has happened since i had the clutch changed maybe a coincidence I'm not sure thanks for help will try and post back findings

sorry should i clean the sensor with wd40 also
the problem with borrowing a sensor is that sometimes it take around 2-4days to come on are they expensive to buy
