Hello,
Scanner comes up with
04, passenger airbag, stage 1 then if I reset it and scan again it comes up with
0b battery, positive terminal i solation 1.
Any ideas?
Minis have a common problem with the wiring connector under the passenger seat which goes to your passenger airbag, try disconnecting it (safer to disconnect battery first) clean the contacts in the plug reconnect plug then battery then try to clear your codes again. If it doesn't work there is a part which connects to your battery which needs to be dry but someone else would give you better information on that as I have never tackled that one myself
Thank you, saying that it's damp in the boot around the battery. Doing a little reading ad it's something to do with possibly damp around the battery area
I33-Ish did you get these sorted ?? I have the same 2 codes on my MCS 05 used a c110+ reset tool was removing the battery one for a few days but now its back and looks like its gona stay put. The 04 passenger Airbag stage 1 code comes up after i have tried to reset the OB positive battery terminal. I have no damp in or around battery. Any ideas any one ????
I still have this problem, i can get the air bag light reset from any where from a few days to a few minutes, today had it reset for over 10 mins then came back on as i drove down our street with speed bumps on it. So wondering if the cable is shorting out somewhere as i hit bumps. this all started the day i had a new exhaust fitted. i read somewhere that the cable goes from rear to front under the heatshield so was wondering has the garage that fitted the exhaust nipped a wire when fitting the exhaust because i did see him remove the heat shield. Just reset it again and it was only out 3 mins came back on as i drove on a smooth road. It comes back as the OB positive terminal but if i erase that then the light comes back on i look at info again and thats when it says 04 passenger airbag stage 1, if i erase that sometimes im good for a while other times its back to OB positive batt terminal. im stumped.
The connectors under the seats are prone to failure. Disconnect them, clean them and then reset the code
