England Fix or replace? Steering knocking.

Hi I have an 04 Cooper.
It has done 70k and engine sounds sweet but it starts to show its age.
At the moment it needs all discs and pads replacing.
There is a small knock in the steering close to full lock and also front suspension doesn't sound good on bumpy roads.

I can't decide whether to fix it or replace it with a newer Mini R56.
Reason being, my car comes fully loaded for the year.
Leather seats, climate control, parking sensors, 17" alloys and general condition is mint.

Anyone knows how expensive would it be to get a proper check done (not a kwik-fit visual inspection )
Or could recommend a cheap place around London area.

Thanks
