England Run Flat & DSC lights always on?

Hi my wife's mini cooper s 2003 has started showing 2 lights (on constantly)
The run flat light and also the DSC light? My first assumption was one of the 'wheel speed sensors' so like an idiot (without actually knowing what the fault was, I bought 2 front wheel speed sensors)
After a phone call with my local bmw dealer I learnt just to diagnose the fault was going to cost me 121.00!! So I bought my own cheap fault code scanner (C110 BMW CODE SCANNER).
It arrived today and so i've just had it hooked up to the car.
I am now none the wiser!
Is a 'rotation rate sensor' just another word for 'wheel speed sensor'? or is this a different part altogether?
These are the codes that it has given me:
5E1F : 'Vehicle Identification Number Different' ........ Different to what??!!

5E16 : 'CAN Connection to instrument cluster' ......... meaning what?

5E19 : 'CAN data fault from DME/DDE (DSC lamp on as long as error is present)'

5E5C : 'Initialize Run Flat Indicator, see owners handbook'

5E38 : 'Rotation Rate Sensor'

Has anyone got any ideas or is it just a case of a process of elimination?
any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I have added pictures of the 2 lights that are on and also the scanner results, (looks like I haven't as I haven't made 15 posts or more!)
Thanks in advance

Luke

Not sure on this but I think I read a while back it could be the steering angle sensor

Rotation rate sensor would be the ABS sensor A.K.A. the wheel speed sensor.
Could well be one of the rear wheel speed sensors, since replacing the front's didn't fix it.

You can disconnect each one and test the resistance and see which is off, or hook it up
to a analog multimeter or scope and spin the wheel and look for the proper pulse signal
to troubleshoot which one is bad.

Steering angle sensor fault is 5E43.
