Angry Speedometer cluster fault

Anyone had problems with their speedo sticking or dropping when driving over 50mph?? I had mine sent away to be looked at and after a week and 110 it got sent back, fitted and apparently they couldn't find a fault!! Diagnostic machine showed car was sending right signals to speedo and speedo worked fine for nearing a week until i got back over 50mph and BOOM off it went again with a mind of its own!!
I ended up having to buy a new speedo to match milage and had it fitted today and i now have a fecking manual speedo in my automatic car grrrrrrrrrr not even bothered going on the motorway to get past that dreaded 50mph as im so frigging vexed right now!! My display on rev counter now wont change etc because its a manual setup grrrrr Attatched is a nice picture of the BANE OF MY FECKING LIFE!!!!
