Its purely down to youre driving style...Ive not seen this on cars that have done 15,000 miles plus...Poss just down to the angle you press the pedal down at...its certainly not a manufacturing defect..

I don't want putting this as a manufacturer fault, only will know if is currently this worn out by the soft gum of the pedal or another thing.
If you see more cars with more miles but without similar damages, this must be my rare foot, ha ha ha!
Another excuse to buy a nice aftermarket pedals...

Thank you.
Yui.

Mine is exactly the same way. Only the brake pedal is worn. I'm hoping to replace them with the '03 aluminum pedals when I can get around to it.

The same thing happend to my clutch pedal after 2200 miles. Actually, the rubber cover fell off the pedal becasue it was so worn out.

Dealer replaced it for free.

Get the new alloy pedals, you'll have no more wearing!

The rubbers on both my brake and clutch pedal are worn out after only 6400miles. I'd like to get them replaced with the alloy ones. Are these now standard equipment on '03 Minis? How much will I have to pay extra to get these pedals (UK)?

Also, on a related note, my clutch makes a loud squeak as I press it down, only heard from outside the car. Anyone else had this problem? Is it a case of replacing the clutch cable?

Mine is identical tbh i think its the way the pedals are arranged in the mini's that all drivers seem to use the same part of the pedal as its the easiest way but a good cure is the alloy pedals
