aircon & heated rear window not working

Is this coincidence or linked? neither of the indiator lights come on. I've checked the obvious fuses. Should the lights come on as soon as the button is pressed or are they fed from the releys?

They are high power consumption items so would normally be fed through a relay/relays.
I dont have the wiring diagrams for a Gen 1 MINI so cant check for you unfortunately.

thanks - I know the aircon compressor & window element will be fed through relays - but what about the indicator light? Does anyone know if they are fed from the button showing power is being fed to the relay coil, or are they fed from the relay showing it is on?

Hi ya

have a look at the fuses in the engine bay fuse box the ones on the underside of the box, there a pain to get to. You will have to remove the airbox and ECM
Also it has been know for those fuse boxes to fail.

Hope this helps

When checking the indecator lights do they come on when u out the hazard button?

If ur ac not working the mostly like cause will be your condenstor with the mini models but best but to have it checked out in a garage because you will need the ac equipment.

Aye you getting power up to your rear screen ?

sorry - I am meaning the indicator leds for the hrw & aircon. I assume there's no power to the hrw if this isn't coming on.
