Cancel Sat Nav instruction

Hi,

New posting but been looking and reading for a while.
Just bought a 2003 Cooper S with Sat Nav and whilst playing.......
Entered a destination address in to Nav but cant cancel the instruction so it keeps telling me to turn left / right ect and screen shows direction arrows!

I was sat on drive playing with it and even my neighbour came out and tried but we can't work it out - are we that thick?!

I also have a 2010 3 series and my previous Audi had sat Nav and I've never had a problem but I can't work out the 'basic' version on a 2003 mini!

Help!!

If its the proper MINI built into the dash centre version you have?

PRESS the rotary button
Selection menu appears
Highlight INPUT DESTINATION with rotary button
The display changes to TERMINATE GUIDANCE
PRESS the rotary button

Guidance is cancelled.

It takes a while to get used to the sat nav as compared to todays its very clunky.

Yes I have one it mine but can't be bothered with how long it takes to enter destinations so I just use my tomtom

I can just use MINI voice and talk to mine, much easier.

You just need to speak clearly so you dont end up the Turkey instead of Torquay
