Freon Leak after clutch repair
Just replaced the AC clutch coil on my 2003 mini cooper. Did it by dropping the compressor out the bottom and not opening the system. Now it seem I have a huge Freon leak from around it. I have 0 psi pressure and when I try to put Freon in I can hear the leak and feel the gas coming out from under the clutch.
After removing the spring rings I still had the tap the clutch pulley with a small hammer to get it off. The taps were numerous but very light. The pulley came right off.
Also I think I got the inner ring in correctly but who knows.
Can someone tell me what the possible causes of the leak is. Would the ring clips not seated cause this. Did I screw it up bad by tapping the clutch (seems as though the seals would have to be very fragile for that to happen).
Can someone give me some insight and help here? This is very frustrating after all that work.
