Velvet Cooper A Sad Day

Cars in the garage again must be around thirty days only collected in october. Coolant tank went. Called out the emergancy services, The guy said take it to the dealer and topped it up. Got half way to the dealer and had to stop with a seriously unwell mini that was expelling black steam from her scoop. Boo Hoo, shes now back in the garage and their are talking about a replacement i did not ask they offered. fairbairn in Giffnock are great to deal with i know the guys sometimes read on here so hello. I just dont know if i can get rid of her as no one is perfect but this is not good cant go on. If i do replace her do i get the same spec or change colour any of you guys got pics of a black white s or indigo blue or finally a green one. I moight try and hold-off and get a works but i will miss my Mini so Much i cant belive how attached you can get to a car. Check the thread to see her if you like.

Sorry to hear that mate. If they are offering a replacement then I should go with it, why continue with a problematic car if you can potentially have a new one.

BTW wrong thread for this forum, might be best to post it elsewhere before DK gets back

I think you should keep her and nurse her. Keep her clean inside and out. It doesn't matter if she cannot run. You've come very attached to her. Don't let her go, you'll regret it

I felt just the same when I wrote my ONE off. Couldn't get over it! Felt like I was bereaved!

Thumbs up "Gasp" .....

I have never heard of a automotive dealer ever offer to replace a car flat out. This dealership or MINI has totally broken the mold of the car secret dealer motto....
"you bought it, you own it, we don't give a rats XXXXX if we built a lemon, get out of our driveway with that piece of XXXX".

Will wonder never cease. A real car manufacturer/dealer that actually believes that the auto buyer is actually more than a neandrathal with a check book.

Will wonders never cease.

With that many "issues".... play Taps, order the same thing and accept the new car as her clone..

maybe they will let you keep one piece from the old to put in the new (shift knob, antenna)... transferance will help with letting go...

good luck!

Trust not the heart of a man for whom old clothes, and the Mini, are not venerable!
