Hi all, hopefully someone can help.
I've got a 2005 R52 Mini One Convertible.
Been sat for about 6 months before christmas, went to start it and it needed jumping. It wouldn't fire up so I decided i'd change the battery as i was concerned it was dead (being 9 years old i didn't think it would hurt)
Well it still wouldn't start, it turns over (cranks) but doesn't fire up.
I've had a couple of mobile mechanics come out, and the 1st said it was my key (it was damaged, but i was certain it wasn't) so i called another guy out.
He also hooked up his machine and pulled loads of immobilizer fault codes, and said it was the key.
Well i've got a new key for it and it's still the same.
Whilst it's been sat it was outside and did get some leaks around the footwells, is water has got into the ews unit and that's whats causing the immobilizer issues, can i take it out and dry it?
It's been in a garage now for 8 weeks so even if it was wet it should of dried out now.
